I've watched promoters scroll past bands
I've spent over twenty years in marketing, working with hundreds of businesses. I've also spent years inside the live music scene: filming gigs, working with bands, and talking to the promoters and venue owners who decide who gets on the bill.
That second part is what makes this session different. Most advice for bands is written by people who have never sat on the other side of the room. This is what it looks like from there.
